Finally finished the fence after a gazillion hours of effort. Cost about $2000 (quoted $4000 from company unpainted) with all materials and plans from Bunnings. Painting still to do but might have to wait a few weeks for the rain to stop.

Is it a better idea to pre-paint? Rather than hit it with a spray gun once built?

Suppose it would partly depend on whether you have the space to lay it all out. It would be ideal as all surfaces are protected.

Looks good, best fence in the street I would say.
