Hi, I just bought an apartment on the 2nd floor. It was built in the 1980s. I had the carpet & the original vinyl tiles underneath removed & it's just concrete now. What I like to do is to install some form of soundproofing or acoustic underlay before the tiler lays the procelain tiles.
Does anyone know who in WA install this sort of soundproofing ? Does it make alot of difference whether I have this underlay installed or not ?

Many thanks in advance, Grace :U

100mm of concrete is usually a sufficient sound barrier. What sort of wild parties are you planning to have?:U

mate thats total incorrect, you need to seprate the hard floor surface from the structer to ensure that you meet the BCA requirement of a IRC,

to the orgnial poster have a look at ASA adhesives they have rubber underlay that you can use with there glues & membranes, also have a look at regupol
