I intend to build a small garden shed (3x3 metres), predominantly to store tools that currently clutter my workshop. The design is stumps, carrying bearers, 90x45 pine floor joists covered with yellow tongue floor sheets. The pine framed walls will sit on the floor perimeter, but I am concerned about the most appropriate way to waterproof the floor's edge. Would painting the edge be sufficient, or should I attach a waterproof membrame before cladding the external walls (with cement sheeting). Hope there is sufficient information here for someone to advise, and I thank you in anticipation.
