Hi Everyone

First post on Renovate - spend most of my time over at Woodworkers.

I painted two rooms in my house on the weekend, and chose Dulux for quality. I was pretty proud of the job until I was packing up and noticed that I bought WeatherShield instead of Wash and Wear, so I have stupidly painted interior walls with exterior paint!

Can someone tell me what this means to me? I still have 11 litres left as I was going to do more rooms but might have to find something outside to paint.

Regards
Danny

Both are acrylic and come in the same sheen levels so I don't think it will make much difference at all- means your interior walls are painted with a nice, sturdy paint :)

I was told once that the differance with in and out paint is that exterior paint does not dry as hard and remains a bit "soft" to be more flexable, not sure that this correct, would like to hear if this is so

Outdamnspot!

Your main problem is, you've most likely paid 50% more than you needed to. Definitely don't need an expensive paint for interior walls.

you can hose the walls down after the kids put there hand prints on them

Thanks for the responses everyone and apologies for the very tardy reply.

I sold the house. Sure I know this is an extreme reaction to the situation bit I'm and extreme kind of guy. Just joking.

Did sell though, and I still have 11 litres of exterior Ecru paint left to use on something.
