Can someone point me in the direction of gaining qualifications in drafting for residential housing if there is such a course.

Barney118,
i completed my Residential Drafting qualification through TAFE around 11 years ago, and although it has been invaluable for general knowledge in building I found that I got fed up with the ever changing regulations and legislations. I used it for a few years but found I spent more time keeping up with regs than actually doing any drawing. I guess what I am saying is go into it with your eyes wide open.......I don't want to put you off just giving some advice based on experience.

I have completed the CAD courses as part of my Mech eng diploma and I would love to go into building and also drafting for myself as a second job.
