Hi guys,
Perhaps someone can help me out...
I have just had a new plasterboard ceiling installed in my unit (over old vermiculite) and the job also invoilved the plasterers removing a strip of vermiculite that ran along the tops of the walls. They have obviously repaired the strip with new plaster which is smooth as a baby's bum - the trouble is that the rest of the walls below this strip of plaster are actually cement rendered and as a result have a rougher finish.
My question is, when I repaint the walls is there something I can do to or product I can use on the plaster strip to give it a similar texture to the cement rendereded walls below it - I know when I have patched up holes in the walls before that the difference in texture is noticable - added to which I really don't fancy having to skim coat all the walls just so that they match up with the thin strip of plaster at the top!
Or, alternatively, is there a particular type of paint I can use on the walls which will give a more even appearnace overall?
Any help or advice much appreciated.
Thanks chaps.
Clive
