Jarrah floorboard cleaning

So a a lot has happened in my place since day one and now there is a lot miscellaneous building material throughout my house on the floorboards. I never protected the boards with plastic or the like but in hindsight probably should have.

What is the best way to clean them up? Can I use a hose and broom? Or will the water make my boards cup?

if they still need sanding before final finishing/coating, just sand them which will clean them up and get them coated at the same time. Only use water if they have been coated with the final finish IMO, and only mopping, not 'flooding'.
