Hi, I have just had a house built and now want to build a double garage brick and tile to match the house. I want to know if anybody has an idea as to what this would cost.

A question like this ? Is like asking how long is a piece of string, we were quoted between 36k and 190k for a double garage depending on what we wanted inside it, 50k sounds reasonable if it is free standing and big enough for 2 real cars plus the garden furniture, lawn-mower; kids play pool and the BIG hooded BBQ, etc.
We really needed more information to give a reasonable answer

But seriously folks - given a 2 car steel shed garage on a slab is going to be around the $15-16K mark, the OP's $24K quote for brick & tile seems reasonable to me.

Unless the OP is not happy with the work on the house, or knows for sure any lower quote would be for an equivalent quality, then that's what I'd go with.

I can get a 2 car shed on a slab for around $9000 from most agents here in Hervey Bay. I just want a simple 2 car brick and tile garage which I am sure should not cost more than $15000 at the most. It is not easy to get anyone here to give me a quote, not many intrested builders here. I will go see other builders and get some quotes from them.

You could get a 2 car shed without wall sheets and brick around the outside, wouldn't give you a tiled roof but then who would want one of them?
Just a thought, you know, thinking outside the square.
