Hi All
I need to replace the galvanised pipe under my unit. I've had a couple of quotes - one was $850 and the other was $2,200. The front tap needs to be replaced, the amount of pipework is around 12 metres, it's all in a straight line (connections are to kitchen sink, loo, vanity and shower over bath in bathroom and laundry basin and washing machine to hot water service) and there is at leat 2 ft clearance to get under the house. The cheaper quote is using plastic piping under the house with copper pipe outside and I didn't know the questions to ask when I got the first quote of $2,200 so I don't know what material he would be using. Am wondering if anyone can give me a bit of guidance as to rough pricing (as it's a huge price difference in quotes) and whether it should be copper piping all the way through or not. Thanks in advance.
