Hi, I have tas oak floors under my capet and I would like some advice please.

1. What is the best way to remove the carpet and not damage the floor. I'm mainly talking about the tack boads. do I just use a Jemmy bar and work my around slowly or is there an easier way.

Thanks in advance

Assume you are talking about the carpet gripper. Use a jemmy with a paint scraper on the floor to leaver against so you

don't damage the boards. The gripper will proberbly break up into bits. The underlay is most likely stapled. Just rip it up,

the staples will stay in the floor. Remove them with pincers. Any that break off knock in with a nail punch as you go

other wise you won't find them again later. The floor sander does the rest
