Hey Everyone,
I'm just about to start on a large renovation in Sydney, NSW so this will most likely be the first post of many!!
I'm planning to use a Caroma cube invisi II wall hung toilet in a new ensuite and wanted to get some thoughts/feedback on people's experiences with wall hung toilets.
Any issues? Someone has mentioned to me that they can leek which is a problem if it's behind a wall!
Thanks for any feedback.
Mick

The Caroma units are excellent. Installed properly they rarely have any hassles, they only have the two points at the back of the pan where they can leak and one where the water ties in at the top which you can get to from inside the cistern anyway. They can be fiddly to service. Grohe are great also, though I prefer the Caroma ones.

While your on topic I am considering one of these, what size pipe work to the sewer goes inside the wall cavity? I am getting my plumber out to do all the under slab pipework again as I ripped up an infill slab and want the pipework lower and he used 100mm so there must be someway of using the 90mm wall space to fit these

So do you install them with a false panel so you can actually get to cistern etc if there are any problems?

No need to, everything's accessible through the hole where the buttons are. If the kee seal or pan collar leaks, you simply remove the pan.

While on topic, how would you know if there is a leak? Given its in the cavity. I like the idea of the cleaning and look of these, should you be wary of any brands or types etc? When you press the button is it electronic or mechanical, ie If you install the cistern outside the wall or roof?
