Hi All,
I'm planning on attaching WA plasterboard to patched/damaged masonry/render wall, as per this technique on Rod's site (How To Stick Plasterboard Or Drywall Over a Rendered Plaster Wall (http://www.how2plaster.com/stickonplaster.html) - very handy site :) ). I'm just wondering, is this technique suitable for a wall that is to be tiled? Is is possible to do this with villaboard?
Regards, Brett.

Sorry but for tiling it must be fixed with screws.

If space is a premium it is possible to stick on then using a masonary drill and 'spagetti" you can drill through where you put the adhesive, then screw fix with the spagetti.

Plasterboard to a masonary wall? Plasterboard is not water resistant?

Plasterboard is not strong enough to handle a couple of hundred kilos of tiles? The weight may peel the sheets off?

CFC may be more appropriate?

I think the OPs reference to WA plasterboard is "Wet Area" plaster.

I did a full bathroom wall to wall; floor to ceiling bathroom tiling job over plasterboard on another house and not one tile fell off and it was still in very good condition when it was sold a few years ago

Thanks. Yeah, WA - i meant wet area board. I ended up rendering it and all is well, just have a bit of spare plasterboard left over now :)
