Hi, I've just finished a deck and is looking for stainless cables and fittings but I can't seem to find where to get them from. I've tried Bunnings but they have limited range. I know there are a number of online shops, but I know very little about them (the stainless cables) so it will be nice to visit a shop and ask for advice. Any suggestions?

I can't decide between hard vs flexible cables and the different types of fittings and what maintenance is required etc etc. The last thing I want to be do a crappy / non compliant job...

G'day,

I got mine from here (http://www.nobles.com.au/)don't be put off by their website, yes they do huge rigging jobs but they also do what you're after too. Mine are 1x19 cable with machine swaged terminations.

i use slimline cabling. Plenty of others on ebay. Just tell them the lengths between runs and they make them up and send them to you. All you then need to do is fit them - no swaging involved.

I researched this a few years back and the US suppliers were waaay cheaper. A bit of google.com will save you some money if the job is big enough

How much cheaper ? Miami do the trade a bloody good price and much cheaper than their web prices. Next day delivery anywhere in the country

I don't have time to research this again but from memory it was like half the price of Australian web sites, but things change, may be the prices are more reasonable now here(?)
I always check the US prices for anything that can be shipped. I just bought my boat cover at 1/3 of the price and it is an original Sea Ray cover.

Good to know but as I'm not the end user I really couldn't be bothered waiting for delivery to save a customer a few bucks. If the customer wanted to supply their own fittings thats a different story ( for them)

I am. All up, I only need around 22 meters and 1 meter high.

Just annoyed that I can't get this in Brisbane... having to go all the way to Gold Coast sucks.

We have the DIY system in stock and we're very close in Redland Bay or 24/48hrs turnaround for preswaged assemblies, all the details are on our site.
