Painting onto concrete which has glue from old tiles

Hi folks,

I want to paint a small section of the kitchen but there's a problem (see photo).

When I took the old tiles off, there was some circles of glue which stayed on the wall - I'm trying to work out if I can just paint over the top - will the old glue spots be visible?

Any ideas of how to remove the spots of glue on the wall?

No the paint will not cover the glue up the best way to remove the glue is going to be a paint scraper and elbow greese, or may some very course sand paper and elbow greese
