Hi.

Wondering if anyone can help me with this. I was wanting to follow the James Hardie Wet Area Contruction Manual when it says:

"When using external flashing with Villaboard lining, use a 75 x 50mm or 100 x 50mm PVC preformed angle flashing, in conjunction with Fulaprene 303 adhesive"

CSR Cemintel says to use something similar.

I can't find anyone in Brisbane who sells this. Most have never heard of it. I've tried Bunnings, Hudsons, BettaBoard, PlastaMasta, Mitre10, Boral, Gyprock Trade Centre etc etc.

I've found one place in Sydney who doesn't send to Brisbane (50 X 75X 3MTR PLASTIC PVC FLASHING ANGLE - NHS Plasterboard & Timber (http://www.mynhs.com.au/products_info.php?products_id=3878)), and one wholesaler in Brisbane who may have the stuff but I might have to buy 25x 3m lengths 1.25mm thick (http://www.app.net.au).

Anyone know where I can get a few metres of this stuff for my bathroom, without paying an arm & a leg?

Is it really required, as it seems most plasterers/tilers mustn't use the stuff, since nobody seems to sell it (just the 40x40 galvanised angle instead)?

Thanks!

I used the metal stuff...had the local Steeline outlet fold up what I needed in the lengths I needed.

I finally found some, and happened to by very close... http://www.bayset.com.au (http://www.bayset.com.au/). Also, Reece could get it slightly cheaper, but had to order in. About $11-$12 per 3m length. Just in case anyone else is looking for it!

BTW in the manufacturer manuals they say the floor flashing should be 25mm above finished floor, and vertical external corner flashing should be at least 40mm x 40mm angle. However it seems that many people don't really follow these. Eg vertical corner may only be 28x28 or less. Can anyone tell me what is actually in the building code, and what is required? Are the manufacturer manuals over spec, or same as what is in the code? Thanks!

Just bumping this thread as I'm after an answer to the above post also. Thanks.

28x28 sounds too small. It won't even cover the stud in the corner of the wall.
I've seen the plastic angles in bunnings recently, that's in sydney though.
