Hi!

I have an existing concrete pool that is raised above the ground at one end and I was planning to build a deck to make it safer for the kids running around, as well as improve the look.

Can you dyna bolt the bearers directly onto the wall? Providing I first check that no return pipes etc. are in the way. The walls are quite thick so I'm think yes but don't want to damage or crack the pool.

There is an exisitng concrete slab with paving over the top where I plan to build the deck so if this isn't on option I could probably bolt some mounts to the slab instead.

If anyone has some advice on this or has completed a similar project in the past I'd like to hear from them.

I did search this forum but nothing was returned.

Look forward to your reply.

Regards, Grant.

I'm no pool builder but I've bolted to one in the past (on the owners instruction) - never had any problems. Don't use dyna bolts, use chemset or ankascrews which will avoid lateral pressure.

:whs: I'd be using chemset. Also drill a smaller pilot hole then the correct size. The idea is to avoid any stress which might cause cracking.
