Any painters/decoraters on hand in northern Melbourne suburbs to give advice?

I'm not really in the market to afford to pay someone else to assist in renovating my home, but I would appreciate some good, honest and valuable advice.

If anyone is available around the Thornbury area in northern Melbourne and would charge a fairly reasonable fee for dispensing some advice to put me out of my misery, I'd greatly appreciate it!
