Has anyone oiled western red cedar weatherboards with decking oil using a paint roller
If so are there any tricks or tips to it . eg what type of roller sleeve is best to use.
Is there a quick way without having to use a brush :?
Any ideas would be much appreciated
l am new to the site.
Thankyou Gary

I would be using a special purpose product for exterior wall surfaces such as Sikkens HLS or one of teh Feast Watson finishes - not decking oil. In most cases, including decking oils, the 'destructions' specifically say not to use brush or roller - these are 'low-build' products that need to be wiped on and often wiped afterwards if their is surface buildup. There are small lambswool applicators that would make it easier on weatherboard walls. :2tsup:
