I wisht get house plans for my home. Will the council have a copy?

Yes, maybe or no. It depends on how old the house is, whether they have archived or disposed of them. Some councils like ours lost all theirs in a bushfire which is such a shame :wink:.

There will be a copy some where as a range of authorities have different aspects. Sometimes an as constructed is better. AT least your dealing with an "actual" plan when designing renovations.
