Hello,

we have some newly renovated bedrooms (they were renovated before we purchased).

As a first home buyer I didn't know much about re-stumping, but later found out that it would cause damage to plaster work.

We do need restumping. the floors are not level.

My question is, how much damage can it cause to new plaster? generally speaking, can it be fixed by patching up or will it need to be completely replastered?

Depends on how much the house has to be moved. If its only 10mm it may not do much damage, but if your jacking a corner up 50mm then you will have problems.
