If I were to build my own frames for a stand alone 6x6m garage walls to support roof trusses what is the max centres I can use for the studs? 450 or 600? wall height 2.7m, do I need a double top plate as I have read on some other posts?

If you are talking about a free span of 6 metre at that wall height then I would go with 450 centres and a double top plate for sure. And some a fair bit of bracing ply....

Seems like the use/waste of a lot of money/material to achive a very simple structure.
My shed is 9m x 6m x 2.7m high walls. It is a post and purlin all steel structure as per the attached picture.

its essentially a small house - I'd go with 450mm centres using 90x35 MGP10 studs with a single 90x45 MGP10 top and bottom plate. I'd also recommend using H2-S termite treated blue framing - its only about 12% dearer than normal pine framing.

unless you can work the studs to be directly under each truss you need a double top plate.
