i just finished a wall with Rockcote's Keykote. The keykote is polymer based and designed to go over blueboard and painted masonry.
I'm really impressed with the way it goes on and the finish I could get with just a steel float. They do recommend a plastic float for smoother finish but I'm satisfied with the results with the steel.
The first coast has just about covered all the raked areas but I will give it a second coat just to give a more even look.
I was planning on putting their acrylic finish over the two coast of Keycoat but I have no doubts I'll be satisfied after just the two coast.
For a $100 for 27 square metres of wall I'm very impressed.
