Hi Folks,
Just wondering if you can advise on the best way to secure some edging tiles (bullnose) which have loosened. They are on the edge of a step (so with time and traffic they have probably worked loose). They appear to have been secured with concrete on soil base. One tile is the edge for a terraced step. This tile is partially sitting on a wooden edging (possibly hardwood?) which appears to have some water damage. It has been suggested to use concrete/sand (1:4) but not sure of this due movement as to edge of step. Advice greatly appreciated.

Has the concrete under the bullnose moved? If it hasn't just use a flexible tile adhesive on top of the concrete and sit the bullnose on that, it won't go anywhere provided both surfaces were clean. If the concrete has broken away you'll have to pour a new step and let it set and then stick the bullnose down after using tile adhesive, or u could use lanscapers liquid nails (more flexible.)
