By rights, the asbestos removal people should have disposed of it, unless you removed it yourself (NOT a good idea). Ring your local council to see if they have an approved disposal site. You may have to be ready to answer a few tricky questions. The alternative is to ring a registered asbestos removal company and try and make a deal with them to take it a way.

I think most of the tips will still take it subject to the proper packageing rules. I would ring them first as its been a few years since I worked in Sydney.

Try this link for Sita...Asbestos - SITA Environmental Solutions (http://wasteservice.nsw.gov.au/dir138/wsn.nsf/Content/Household+Items_Asbestos).... In the past i have ordered a pick up from some of the waste companies .

Most council tips in nsw don't ask tricky questions, often just the address and need it booked in advance, sorry can't help in western sydney though.

Sorry. I've just checked, and the regulations are different in NSW. Here in Qld. it's a bit more restrictive, and I was basing my remarks on local regulations.
