I only have myself to blame! Attempted to caulk (acrylic) the gap between my newly tiled splashback and the laminex benchtop. In the process of cleaning up the excess I ended up almost cleaning out the join. Thought I had fixed that up, but next morning looks like air bubbles have developed overnight whilst it was setting. Desont look that great, and I dont think it would be a proper seal.

My question - can I put another run of caulk over the top? Or do I have the clean it all out and start again?

Thnaks for any advice!

Personally I would use a sharp blade and slice the sealant out top and bootom (careful not to scratch the laminate) and then reseal it. I would also suggest using a antifungal based silicon product instead of acrylic sealant. To get a nice finish apply the sealant and spray over with a soapy water solution, before smoothing off with your finger. I hope that helps!

Cheers Chippy :D

As above, if the first bit is'nt any good it is better to start fresh.
