Thread: Swim Spa

Hi Guys, I was wondering I am set on getting some sort of water device at my new home but not sure what.

I would love a pool it has always been a dream of mine and I know they are alot of work but oh well.

Recently I have become aware of the concept of a Swim Spa that can hold 6-10 people. Does anyone have one of these? What are they like? What are peoples experiences?

Also does anyone know how much one of these would retail for?

I also understand they would be able to placed in-ground.

Have had mine for about 4 years, 4.5m x 2.4m. made with 10mm fibreglass, four bucket seats at one end with 2 at the other end. Didn't come with the swim jets, I installed the jets and 3hp pump myself later on, but I would suggest 5hp min to properly swim against, I can breath stroke against it only, but I'm happy with that. Has electric heater which I've never used, but installed solar which is pretty good. Filtration only operates twice a day for two hours, doesn't use much chlorine. Holds about 6,500 litres. Cost about 13k plus another 1.5k for swimspa gear. Yes could be put in ground but mine sits in a frame which still has to sit on a 5inch min concrete slab.
