Hello all,
I've been lurking here for a few weeks and I can see that this is a helpful site for occasional renovators like me/us.
We (DH and I) are re-doing a 35 year old kitchen completely (we planned the first one but it badly needs replacing/upgrading). I tried a quote from a kitchen company first- HOW MUCH!?
Now we are doing it ourselves as 'site managers', having had a bathroom completely stripped down and re-built 6 years ago (despite nearly giving me a nervous breakdown- the builder/tiler...ggr!).
This time I am again the 'manager', so we have very detailed plans ( I decided to hire a designer-expensive but good option for us) and specs.

Our house has a flat roof (kliplok)- a pain when doing any electrical work etc and this is giving me headaches already.
I am trying to get some help with how to organise the various stages of the re-build.

We have our cabinet maker ready to go (we've used him before, so VERY happy with him), the electrician lives nearby (handy), have had 1st quote for new ceiling, need to find a plumber, and have yet to choose the final flooring (have some ideas). I'm hoping that the more experienced people on this site can get me on the right track.
