Default Air-con question

Before I get a barrage of laughter let me say that I have no knowledge about air-conditioning!

My question is, do I need to get a specific air-con installer to install a split system or can a sparky do it? Or do I need to get a plumber to do it? I know a few traddies who have done good work for others in the apst at good rates.
Cheerio,

Mark

Ya need to get an Aircon Installer or Refrigeration mechanic, he or she has all the gear to gas up the unit. He or she may even be qualified or licenced to connect it up to power supply.

The bloke that installed mine did everything except the final connection to the meter box power board. He got a sparkie to do that.
