Default Brass fittings cutting into washing machine hose, what to do?

    Hey all,
The pictures are self explanatory. Water is diverted via the T piece and tap down through the bench top via 15-20mm threaded pipe then into the pictured reducer to bring the size back out to 3/4bsp or what ever the standard tap size is.
Anyhow, the inlet lines for the washer should screw onto this fitting, the issue being that the fitting is quite sharp and easily cuts through the soft rubber seal and plastic threaded coupling on the washer inlet hoses. So for interim I have screwed them onto the sink taps.
I have been unable to find a reducer smooth that resembles the spout of a tap, so I presume the previous owners didn't quite do it right ;-)

Can you buy a fitting that's suited for this purpose or how should this be plumbed up?
    Thanks

File it smooth or use a Philmac fitting.

Try using fibre washers rather than soft plastic.
