    Default Help! Deck question... :S

Hi guys, this is my first post!

I have been searching your threads but haven't found the answer to my question so i thought i'd register!

I have just put a deck on the back of my house and am in the process of applying Spa'n'deck natural to it.

Here is what i have done:

    Hosed it.
    Scrubbed it.
    Hosed it.
Applied the first coat with the deck wet.
    Let the deck dry.
Then trouble struck and it rained!!!
Now half is dry (the undercover bit) and half is wet.
What i was going to do was just wait for tomorrow morning (where possible rain is forecast) and if it is fine apply a second coat.

    My questions are:

    1) If it rains, could i still apply a coat? or should i wait and do the second coat dry (as per instructions?)

    2) Also, how thick shoould a coat go on? Because ive noticed the first coat where it was think didnt dry and was a bit yellowy.

    3) Could i use the deck and then wipe it clean or hose it then apply asecond or third coat when the sun comes out in a few days?

    Thanks in advance, chris

I don't feel like typing that much but if you give me a call I will be happy to try and help you. I have applied Spa&Deck to around 200 decks.

Well it turned out ok as it was windy and sunny - perfect for deck drying... well best as can be expected in winter.

When i came out in the morning there was some yellow marks on the deck where it had rained but i found once i recoated 2nd and 3rd coat it was perfect.

There was still a little water on the deck so i mopped it off first then used paper towel (yes crazy but i wanted it to blend perfectly... :S) to soak up water. It was only a few patches...

Once the third coat was dry i was very happy with the result...
