Default Magical 2000 decking threads real soon

Just had a look at the decking zone and it is showing some 1988 threads. I think it confirms my thinking that it is easier to have tiles and concrete than timber to walk on outside. I am currently trying to turn around 160m2 of jet black decking ( all under a roof line) that the owner has faithfully for 10 years annually applied "natural decking oil" then for the past 3 years applied "water based decking oil" from the same manufacturer over the oil based decking oil.
To say it is a challenge too sand is a fairly good summation.
It would seem that this whole decking-fixing-coating-maintaining thing is a long way from where I hope one day it needs to get.

Just felt like a rant and I am definitely a Maroon supporter.

Okay ,that should make only 11 more threads in this department to hit the 2000 mark which would appear to be the first to do so in the renovate forum. Hoping this thread gets through as the mods do such a stunning job!

thanks ringtail ! I have some photos but still struggling on how to get them from the camera onto this site. (total compuytor gumby). The coating up close to the house when sanding just turns into glug and I rarely see my sanding discs totally clog up even with DWD. I can't imagine how long it would have taken for this stuff to dry. I'll try to get a couple of shots of the sanding discs. Normally my 33 litre dust extractor would hold all of the dust extracted over the entire job. I have already filled it up with hand sanding and am only 1/4 through the job.
