    Default concretemix

    hi all
just finished first home paving project with recycled bricks over crushed rock and washed sand. all fine and compacted. now i need to dam the edges with concrete. how would the crushed rock go in a concrete mix? given that it's every size from 20mm stones to dust but also already in the back yard. would it be better to trailer in the usual aggregate?
what sort of mix? would the fines in crushed rock do the work of some of the sand? say a 1:1:4 mix? any advice will be greatly appreciated
    cheers

A sand and cement edge is all that is required no need for concrete its there to stop the pavers moving not to take traffic.

Mick you can use the rock base but it will be hard to work with.Pop down the hardware and buy the 20kg bags of premix concrete chuck a few bags in the barra and just ad water.Or you can can use a 1 part water 1part cement 4 parts sand and mix to a firm consistency.A 10 litre bucket would be perfect to measure.
