Default Laminex Colourtech Doors(2pack)

Hi All!

Has anyone had any experience with these colourtech doors from laminex? The 2pack painted ones. Are they similiar quality and look to a standard 2pack sprayed door from a cabinetmaker.

Thanks

I have ordered a fair few Colourtech doors in my day and every time I do it I promise myself it will be the last time...untill a customer comes to me asking for them again...

Colourtech are about as expensive as it gets for painted doors.
Their finish is normally pretty good, but it is not any better than any other reputable door painter.
On top of this they will not be drilled for hinges and drawer brackets - this will have to be done post delivery.

But I wouldn't neccesarily go to a cabinet maker either.
Most cabbies will order routed doors from a specialty door maker.
The doors can then be delivered to the cabinet maker for drilling or the doormaker can often also drill for hinges if they are given the specifications for centres on all boards.

The doors then go to a cabinet painter who applies the two pack.

There are some shops who do all of this in house, depending where you are, but it may be worth your while looking for a "cabinet door maker" and having a chat with them.

Cheers,
