Thread: House raising in MELBOURNE - HELP! who to use etc?

Hi Guys

I am considering the option of LIFTING our humble weatherboard house in Vermont, Victoria. I have for a long time been curious about the viability of such a project - and as our little 2 bedroom place is starting to feel a bit small - I am getting ready to put my money where my mouth is.

Just looking for directions / opinions on:

1. Who to use for the lifting and / or structural work
2. What to be aware of / red tape / permits etc
3. any general advice from those who may have done it....

I see that this post has not had a reply in the 2 years it has been here. Does this mean that house raising in Melbourne is not able to be done, or just nobody has done it yet?

I am also interested in this option and have lived in raised houses before but not in this state.
