Default cutting bond beam / window install

    Hey guys

im thinking of cutting a hole in my besser brick wall to put two narrow vertical windows in.
I was unaware that cuttin the bondbeam might significantly weaken the wall.
I was going to take out from three bricks off the ground up to ceiling and inserting a header like all the other windows in the house have.

If the top row is a bondbeam ( will drill to check tomorrow ) is it best to cut through it and put a header in or is it okay to simply take all the bricks out below it leaving the bond beam row intact as a type of header?

or do i do something else entirely?

    thanks

I don't know what a bond beam is, but if it is a lintel then I imagine you will need to replace it with some kind of structural support, depending on what's above the opening you wish to create..... sounds like advice might be needed from an engineer.
