Red face Hi all. Newbie to renovation

I would just like to say that my son and I are new to renovating. We're attempting to reno the kitchen and I must say nothing has been easy. I wish I had known what I know now and I would have done a lot of things differently. Currently we're removing paint from a rendered internal wall so as we have patches to apply the masonary adhesive to adhere the gyprock. It's a dusty, dirty job. We're using a wire disc on a grinder and was wondering if there is an easier way to to do this.
