    Default Hydronic heating 5 panels quoted $7000 - $9000

Hi everyone! Being of Polish origin I'm used to hydronic heating and I'm contemplating installation of 5 panel system in our two bedroom unit. Panels to be installed as follows:
    1 x lounge
    1 x bedroom (x 2)
    1 x bathroom (towel rail)
    1 x kitchen

The unit sits or raised foundations and there's good access under the floor for running pipes, tubes etc.

I was always under impression (wrong one apparently) that the average cost would be about $1000 per panel, but the quotes I got far higher:

7.5k - 9k from Hydronic Heating Systems from Clayton
    7k - 8k from G Store

Have you perhaps suggest someone else?

Does it sound right? Did the price went that drastically up? The AU$ against Euro is very import favorable, so...
If you can share your thoughts on this one, would be great!

    Cheers,

    Janek

We had a similar thread just the other day, which the poster looked to be paying a little less than you, while still being what seems a bit excessive....

Seems a little pricey. Try these guys: Anders and Son - (03) 9374 1000.

A friend used them and paid around 9.5k for 9 panels, Ferroli boiler, Honeywell thermostat and copper pipework for the installation. However, his pipework was done whilst the floors were up; so it would have been easier than yours.

Thanks mate, just rang them and arranged for a visit at my place to asses the job. He did sound very reasonable. Will let you know how it went.

By the way - got a phone call from Hunt Heating in Melbourne and they quoted $10,000 for this 5 panels job!!! Unbelievable...
