Default Heller 250mm square panel ducted exhaust fan IPX2

    Hi all.

I'm trying to make sure I have all the necessary components to install a bathroom fan. Heller - 250mm Square Panel Ducted Exhaust Fan White IPX2 | GoLights.com.au It didn't come with the ducting which is 100mm. The local hardware doesn't stock that at all? So I need to get that, but what do I get for the roof penetration. What's it called and what does it look like?

    Cheers, Su.

AAArgh! Just hit a snag. While looking at installation instructions, for clues, I discovered this fan is not supposed to be installed on a raked ceiling. Why is this? Is it designed to only work that way or is it a case of best performance? What should I be looking for instead? Something that works real well, thru to roof is good or eaves. Bathroom is approximately 21m3.

    Cheers, Su.

Ok, so after a lot of searching I found an inline fan that will fit in the space. It should fit on top of the ceiling joist and exit between the rafters and vent thru the eaves lining. Yay! If any of this sounds wrong, please kill me now!

We have an inline fan running our kitchen range hood and another in the guest bathroom. They work really well.

My only suggestion is to gate the outlet so that wind does not enter the building. Some sort of insect prevention would be a good idea as well.

Ours have air pressure operated flaps on the outlets.

Those who want to ignore the science are increasingly alone. They are on their own shrinking island.
