    Default mixer tap pressure reduction.

    Team.

Do these mixer taps have a way to control the water pressure from the spout
or will I need to ad cox taps under the basin to reduce the flow.

My first experience fitting one and when you turn the tap on due to the high pressure
of the water the water hits the bottom of the bowl then bounces out over the top onto the floor.

Was not a good look today with wet pants at the front.

A cox tap wont do anything for the initial burst of pressure. It will reduce the flow, but not pressure. I thought it was regulation to have cox taps on mixers regardless.

A pressure reducer is perhaps what would provide a solution.

Did you buy a cheap mixer tap?
I'm no expert, but know enough to be dangerous...

I was given a box of used mixer taps which look new but no branding so not certain if cheap.
Came out of a demolition site a few weeks back.

No branding usually = cheap and you do need mini cocks under the sink to isolate the mixer.
