Default Problem With My High Pressure Cleaner

    Hi,

I have a Karcher (model - K 2.36 M) high pressure cleaner and I have unfortunately misplaced my operating manual.

So I was wondering if anyone here could tell me as to why I cannot draw water from a rainwater container with the suction hose provided?

I checked by using the external tap if the machine was working OK - which it did but it still won't suck the water out of the container .

Thanking those in advance of their replies.

    Cheers

I'm guessing here, maybe it needs to be primed?

Take the HP hose (lance) off first and run the unit till you get all air out of the system and then reconnect HP hose. The unit will not draw the water in as the back pressure from the air in unit prevents the water from drawing.

    Hi DJ's Timber,

Thank you for your swift reply. I think I have just done as you said (see image) but it no water came out of the lance (external outlet). Did I do it correctly?

    Cheers

    Hi,

Well I have just got off the phone having spoken to a Karcher technician and he told me the item I though was used to suck the water in is actually the detergent suction hose.

He said the best thing to do was to get a length of 3 metres (maximum length) hose pipe and in turn connect it to a female fitting that will connect onto the male water supply inlet.

I will try that either later on or tomorrow.

    Cheers
