Default Toilet Pan 40mm Offset Connector

I am replacing a broken toilet with a Caroma Caravelle toilet and its needs a 40 mm offset connector. I can use a genuine Caroma offset connector or a generic Bunnings one which I have been told is much cheaper. Can you please advise which one is better? Also is the connector glued into the sewer pipe or is there a sealing gland?

    Thanks
    Glenn

    Neither.

Scroll down the page a bit to my topic that's headed "Now, there's another problem".

I have used a 40mm offset pan collar before but they are quite dodgy. The maximum I would advise to use is a 20mm offset. But there are instances like you have where you either have to use one, jackhammer up the floor and move it or use a different toilet suite.

Thanks for the advice. I will use a 20mm offset only.
