Hey Guys,
We currently have MR-16 downlights for my roof and now we are looking to replace them with something that gives more light than MR-16 Halogens. I went to Bunnings and was unable to find anything that fits in my existing fittings , can anyone suggest me some options please .
Thanks in advance.

For options using downlight fittings that take MR-16 bulbs, the answer is 'none'.
There is one fairly new 10 watt LED light that is supposedly a little bit brighter than a 50 watt halogen, but they currently cost $60 each, and compact fluros might give you a less spotlight-like feel, but neither is going to give you a spread of light like a normal bulb.

Thanks Noel , Good Info.
It saysbut i m looking for something that gives more light output , do we know there are IRCs that give more light than MR 16s ?Code:To replace 50W low voltage lamps, there are now 30W and 35W IRC versions which have equivalent light output. When combined with electronic transformers, these can result in significant energy savings. Thus a standard 12 volt 35 watt IRC halogen downlight with an electronic transformer uses 35 watts for the lamp and around 3 watts for the transformer = 38 watts per fixture.
Cheers!!
