When you say the igniter is working because you can see the orange light, do you mean on the control panel? The gas will shut off if it doesn't light automatically after a few seconds.

Hi all,
My westerhouse gas oven has recently stopped working. Have no idea why, it's only about 6 years old.
I had a quick look and from what I can tell no gas is coming out. The electric ignition is working as I can see the bright orange light, I also tried a match just to be sure.
What normally goes wrong with them? Regulator maybe? or blocked line?
There is a gas cooktop next to the oven that works fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks

nah the igniter inside the oven, it's always on.
Also the preheat light on the control panel is always on regardless of temperature. Obviously because no heat is being produced.
Could have a gas leak some where in the unit this can cause the flame failure cut off to activate
The electronic gas solenoid is faulty and needs to be replaced
Westinghouse recommends replacing the ignitor at the same time, you can pick up both parts for under $100 but be warned to replace the solenoid requires gasfitting skills and if you have any sort of gas leak after you have fitted the solenoid you WILL have a fire/explosion in the oven
