    Default Cutek for Ironbark

Has anyone had experience with Cutek on Red Ironbark? Is the clear finish better looking or one of the tinted varieties?

I use cutek all the time. Clear finish looks awesome but as there is no UV inhibiters in it the timber will grey over time/weathering. If you want to keep a colour in your deck you have to use a tint. The cutek supplier I use (I assume same for all) will give free samples of tinted cutek so you can try before you buy. I personally only use clear as I like a grey deck and it is less maintenance - 2 coats clear every 2 years. I have used the colours and they look good and unlike most finishes you can see the grain through it. Post some pics when your done....

Is there a way to preserve the natural timber colour for as long as possible?

Yes but only using a tint. Check the cutek website or ur supplier as their is a
Heap of colours to best match specific timbers

    Thanks for the advice.

No problem with posting photos, but it may be some time before I have a chance to do the job.
