    Default Kapur decking

    Hi Guys

I have just bought a heap of Kapur decking and made a rookie mistake by not picking it all out myself. I did this because the guy over the phone said it was all pretty good quality and I could take back whatever I wasn't happy with.

About half of it looks pretty ordinary. There are a lot of yellow markings which I assume is the timber bleeding which is normal???

There is also a heap of black marks which won't clean off but will sand off.

Then there's just terrible pieces that have dings in it etc. This will definately go back.

Just wondering if I sand off the black stuff and keep the decks with the yellow bleeding will it look ok once oiled?

    Thanks

"Standard or Better" ....will always be pieces you are not happy with.
"Select"......will always be pieces you are not happy with.

AN acid clean will take out most disscolourations/mould

Bent/warped and twisted in the same board annoys me the most.

Crack on with it.....and post some pics

    Thanks for that 2x4.

I bought some Cabots deck clean and that seems to have worked better.

I will see how it dries in the morning.
