Default New entrance deck with pics.

After getting so much advice from this forum (mostly from searching)
I thought I would post up some pics of the finished product as well as some pics throughout construction.
I am not much of a writer but if anyone has any questions I will be more than happy to answer them!

    Thanks Jim,

And thanks also for the advice in a previous post of mine of the Jarrah tint spa n deck on the Balau. I gave it 4 coats and it came up really nice.

great job, looks too good to walk on!
is that a steel sub-stucture? and if so any reason?

    Hi Plasterpro,

That is steel for the bearers and posts. I mainly did it because the bearer near the driveway is in contact with the ground at the very end, I was concerned that timber might rot in this situation and thought steel might be more up to the task. The company that makes the LSB's I used for the bearers talk up there coatings but I also sealed the ends with sika and painted a bitumen rustproofing compound around the area near the ground to hopefully keep corrosion away also.

A 12 meter length was $290 plus delivery.
Timber would definitely be cheaper but if you needed alot it might start to even out. I have a 6m length left over for another project out the back in the coming months. The posts I got from my father in laws garage so they were free but he gets them made up for $16 each and they are 600 long.
Check out www.litesteelbeam.com.au for heaps of info, span tables etc.
