    Default Uneven weathering-in of new merbau

    I've left my new decking timbers to weather prior to oiling as I'm not up to scrubbing them with a bleach.
    Unfortunately the area under the narrow verandah hasn't weathered.
    1. Can I even it up by treating just the under-cover part?
    2. If so, should I use something s mild (eg napisan or oxalic acid) or strong (eg sodium hydroxide & disodium metasilicate)
    3 Any other suggestions?

    Sand the full deck to get even finish then get a couple of coats of oil on it.

    Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I'm not able to sand it. Any other ideas?
