Default How deep and wide are the concrete tubes dug

Hey guys. Long story short is I got a property with 50 acres. Planning on putting a single story house on it (illegal dwelling, australia so no frost line)

I know some will say asks engineer etc but not option.

So I’m building a house on piers ( roughly 600mm off the ground), ground will be excavated flat.

I want to know how deep and how thick my footings needs to be(concrete tubes)
I do want to go slightly overkill.

I have googled a lot, but lots of different answers due to over seas frost lines etc

    Edit Poster is from NSW

    ask your engineer.

all i know it 600mm is the normal arbor they dig them with on a bob cat etc. but asking people to give you advice to build an illegal house here in aus is a weird question.

Not an "illegal" house but an exempt structure perhaps.
Buy a copy of AS 1684 maybe??

...what Droog said, its the soil test that dictates what sort of footings are required.

I'd not be setting any building 600 off the ground no matter what, 900 or greater lets you work under it more easily.
