Im not sure how it compares to your scenario but i used a 2k primer followed by a satin oil enamel (2 or 3 coats from memory). Came out pretty flawless.

Hi everyone
So I am in the process of stripping the old vinyl wrap off my kitchen cabinets and painting them gloss white.
I have sanded the adhesive residue but still the 4 in one prep I am using is being absorbed . And after 3 costs it is still soaking in .
I did some research and it seems the B.I.N shellac undercoat is recommended by a few people.
I realise that the adhesive may make it hard for an absolutely perfect finish but the gloss coat I did after the three undercoats looks nothing like a gloss ....
I should mention I used a water based paint due to my asthma but if oil or shellac based is going to work better then I will just have to suck it up
Anyone done this successfully and if so could I use the zessar bin spray can
Thanks for any advice 😊

Thanks for the reply 😊
After reading your post I looked up the 2K primer and seems quite a few people have used it for cabinets.
I am wanting a gloss finish , is the primer already glossy and if so can a gloss finish enamel be used over it ?
Is 2 K the same as 2 pack ? Just wondering as not familiar and would like it in spray can .
Have you taken them to a 2pak paint shop for a quote on spraying them professionally?
