Replacing cabinet drawers with dishwasher I want to replace the cabinet drawers with a dishwasher. Removing the drawers and side walls would leave 24" of space, however, the countertop above will not be supported near the oven.
My idea-questions:
- Are there dishwashers that can support the counter top?
- Is there a way to squeeze some kind of support on the left size with a standard size dishwasher?
- Are there dishwashers that are 22" or 23" so I can leave the side cabinet walls as support?
Being primarily an Australian based forum I would check with local suppliers, here in Australia there are slim line dishwashers

I think you may be snookered, you will need to remove the kickrail and cupboard base as well for height leaving nothing to support the side panel. Get in a cabinet maker and see what they think, it will depend a bit on carcass construction as to what can be removed.
